What Was Lost

By scribes  //  Music, News  //  No Comments

Completing this album has been a real test of character. I’ve never felt so close to dying. It has been the struggle of my life trying to put this record out. It is dropping Fri Feb 4th 2011. I think people from all walks of life will relate to the heart felt depth of this album and will hopefully be able to sympathize with the struggle it comes from.

Trying to make an expensive album from scratch… As if it wasn’t hard enough recording it the first time… the album was lost when the studio i was recording at got broken into and all the equipment including my album masters were stolen. Although there are a lot of new songs this album has a lot of songs that i rerecorded after the orginals were stolen (although most of the rerecordings were rewritten and changed). Hence the name “What Was Lost”.

This album was largely produced by Bean One of Dyme Def and was originally financed by Mike McCready of Pearl Jam. It features other producers such as Captain Midnite, Jester and Nick Rapp. Also, maybe not an official producer but an extremely important contributor to this record is Teal Douville the engineer. Teal was a key player in the creation of this album… Everything from the mix to the instrumentation…

The Theft

By scribes  //  Music, News  //  No Comments

Originally my album “What Was Lost” (Dropping Feb 4th 2011) was supposed to be release in Feb 09 under the title “ThruOurMusic”. The release date had to be pushed back and the album had to be re-recorded when the studio I record the album at was broken into and all of the equipment (including my album masters were stolen). Here is the story…

Summertime Sampler 2009

By scribes  //  Music, News  //  No Comments

This EP was about droppin cuts. I wrote this EP with the intention of both bein’ unbeatable as a lyricist but also as a mood setter, haha. This EP was the first official release that allowed me to display my singing as well as rappin. My intention with this project wasn’t to blow up. After losing the masters to the full length album “ThruOurMusic” that i was supposed to release in Feb 09… I needed to remind people that even though it had been a minute since i dropped anything i was still on top of my game. It was a reminder to my hard core fans and business connects that i hadn’t fallen off.

Sleepwalk

By scribes  //  Music, News  //  No Comments

Sleepwalk was an album composed of various work I wrote and recorded largely during highschool… Released in 07, the album was recorded at Macklemore’s house and engineered by Mack himself. It’s never easy recording an album (especially independently) but Sleepwalk marked my first major accomplishment as an independent recording artist. It was my introduction to the local game. Much of the content reflected a lot of the personal growing pains i was experiencing at the time. I was young when i wrote and laid this shit down on wax but the album was and still is strong enough to compete with the older cats. Although i’ve grown past and expanded beyond the sound and content, it is still a classic album that i stand by today (over 3 years later)… Peep “Soully”… It’s still one of my most popular tracks. The whole album is available on iTunes and just about every other online distribution site.
